Camshorn, originally a Suffolk sheep farm, sits sheltered from prevailing winds by hills on both sides. The vineyard’s clay and gravel soils, along with its sun-trap climate, are key to capturing concentrated flavours. Together with a range of clay and gravel soils, this sunny valley, sheltered from the prevailing winds, is the perfect setting for growing elegantly styled and concentrated sauvignon blanc.

Consumption Tips
Although suitable for early drinking, this wine will also cellar for up to three years.

Vineyard History
Our Camshorn vineyards are along the East coast but sheltered from cool Easterly winds by the Teviotdale Hills, allowing warm daytime temperatures at ripening. The vines are planted predominantly on Glasnevin Gravels, which are light, free-draining stony soils, consisting of a thin (200-350mm) silt loam topsoil overlaying a stony, sandy loam with sandy gravels underneath.

Tasting note
The nose has delightful pink grapefruit, gooseberry characters scattered with herbal undertones. The palate shows rich and vibrant flavours, it demonstrates freshness,
energy and complexity framed by bright acidity for a lingering finish.
