“Rich and generous... terrific drinking.”

“This highly enjoyable wine is filled with dark plum and spiced cherry flavours with nuances of violet, almond and dark spice. The palate delivers excellent fruit intensity and weight, beautifully complemented by fleshy mouthfeel and smooth texture. It is mouthfilling and delectable with a lingering silky finish. A gorgeous expression of the variety. At its best: now to 2021. Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Since Roman times donkeys or “Burros” in Spanish have been used to work along the narrow paths between vines. A blockbuster red with rich fruit flavours and a warm spicy character from the calcareous clay hills of the Ayles Estate in the Carinena region of central north Spain. The continental climate is influenced by a wind the locals call "Cierzo" and vast fluctuations between daytime and night time temperatures guarantee super-intensely flavoured grapes. The wine is fermented in temperature
controlled stainless steel tanks and spends 3 months in American oak barrels to add a vanilla smoothness and toasty, spicy touch to the vibrant, dark berry flavours.
