A genius piece of lateral thinking - and some no doubt serious trial and error tastings - saw producers branch out (sorry) and away from the trad apple base in search of summat new to brew cider from. Pears! Brill. And don't think bad experiences with 'perry', think clean, crisp, often dry and deeply delicious pear ciders from across the planet, and pioneering local brewers as well.
