The story of Behemoth Brain Smiles 6x330C

Behemoth Brewing was founded in 2013 by Andrew Childs, a homebrewer who left a career as a lawyer to brew full time. In the early days he delivered kegs around the North Island in a 1993 Toyota LiteAce. The Auckland brewery is best known for its hazy beers, and its cartoon monster mascot Churly has appeared on well over a hundred labels. Behemoth now has its own brewpub, Churly's, at the top of Dominion Road in Auckland.

Brain Smiles is a hazy pale ale, the New England style, with a soft cloudy body. It is hopped with Mosaic and Citra, sits at 30 IBU and comes in at 5.4 per cent, which makes it lighter than the brewery's usual hazy IPAs. The pack is six 330ml cans.

Serve the cans cold and pour into a glass so the hop aroma opens up. It is an easy beer for the barbecue, takeaways, burgers and anything with a bit of spice.
