- Mumm Millesime - produced from a single vintage (2013)
- The 61st release in the Mumm Millesime series
- 95/100 (Huon Hooke, The Real Review)
The word “Millesime” comes from the world of wine, translating from the French to mean a great vintage. In the wine industry, a vintage wine refers to a particular year and place from which the quality of wine was superb.
Mumm Millésimé 2013 is a vintage champagne of magnificent complexity and prestige. The finesse and freshness of the Chardonnay brings an elegant but discreet touch to this wine, tempering the power and structure of the Pinot Noir, while continuing to gently express itself.
Made with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes harvested from the best Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims (Ambonnay, Mailly, Bouzy, Verzy, and Mareuil-sur-Ay) and the Côte des Blancs (Oger, Avize, Cramant) regions of France, Mumm Millésimé 2013 is a cuvée which has already been aged for several years in cellars, with magnificent aging potential.
Mumm Millésimé 2013 is elegance transmuted into a singular vintage champagne. Candlelight illuminates a prestigious restaurant –imposing, yes, but intimate too, the ideal backdrop for the rare pleasure of sharing a most intriguing wine.
