Roast coffeeCreamCitrusMalt & grainGood Spirits is an Auckland cocktail company run by David Horan, who spent 15 years working in cocktail bars in Dublin, Sydney, Melbourne and London before settling in New Zealand. He has been running his mobile cocktail catering business for seven years, and the bottled range grew out of it, with the recipes developed alongside food scientists and the branding with a design team.
Espresso Martini is one of four bottled cocktails, joining the Lychee Martini, Fig Negroni and Chilli Margarita. Each is a 700ml bottle handcrafted in New Zealand at 13.9 percent. The coffee in this one is Newground Coffee, brewed, and the flavour is rich and silky with a hint of English toffee. All four won medals in the new Pre-Batched Cocktail category at the 2025 New Zealand Spirits Awards.
Chill the bottle before you pour, then shake with ice. Garnish with a few coffee beans or a little grated dark chocolate. Once opened, keep it in the fridge.
