The story of Panhead Supercharger 6x330B

Panhead Custom Ales started in 2013 in Upper Hutt, north of Wellington, when brewer Mike Neilson and his wife Anna sold their house and car and leased a mothballed Dunlop tyre factory. The first batch was ready for the Beervana festival in August 2013. Lion bought the business in 2016, and the beer kept being brewed in Upper Hutt.

The brand is built on kustom kulture, Neilson's love of cars and bikes from the 1940s to the 1970s, and the name comes from a Harley-Davidson engine. Supercharger is one of its four core beers and an American pale ale. American hops bring tropical fruit, pine, stone fruit and citrus aroma, with a little malt sweetness underneath to balance the bitterness. It has won the GABS Hottest 100 Kiwi Craft Beers poll three times.

This is a six pack of 330ml bottles. Serve it cold, and pour it into a glass to catch the hop aroma. It goes well with burgers, fried chicken, pizza and spicy food.
