      The story of Kingfisher Premium 12x330B

      Kingfisher is India's best known lager, made by United Breweries of Bengaluru, and Kingfisher Premium was launched in 1978. The pack carries a kingfisher bird in flight on a yellow and red label, and the beer has since travelled well beyond India.

      This is the Premium lager, 5.0% ABV, sold as twelve 330ml bottles. It is brewed with malted barley and aromatic hops, and it pours pale amber with a clean, refreshing taste and a full, hoppy character that finishes smooth. The brand is rooted in Indian cuisine, and that is where the lager makes the most sense.

      Serve it well chilled, in a tall glass or straight from the bottle, alongside spicy food. Curry, tandoori meats, pakoras and anything with a good amount of chilli are the natural partners, because the carbonation and gentle bitterness reset the palate between bites. A twelve pack of 330ml bottles also suits a long dinner with a table of shared dishes.
