A New Zealand sparkling Brut with crisp apple and citrus flavours and fine bubbles. Fresh and balanced.
Crisp appleCitrusOyster Bay Sparkling Cuvée Brut is a non-vintage New Zealand sparkling wine made entirely from Chardonnay. The winemakers choose Chardonnay clones with small, intensely flavoured berries, and the vines grow on ancient alluvial river terraces, which give concentrated flavour and a natural zesty acidity.
The fruit is picked early to hold on to that acidity, and neutral yeasts are used so the character of the Chardonnay shows rather than the yeast. The wine has done well in London judging, scoring 96 points at the 2024 International Wine and Spirit Competition.
In the glass it is bright and clean, with lime citrus and white peach, a finely bubbled palate and a crisp, refreshing finish.
Pour it cold, into a flute or a regular white wine glass. The crisp finish works with salty snacks, fried food or a soft cheese, and it is dry enough to pour on its own.
