      The story of Sol Mexican Lager 12x330B

      Sol is a Mexican lager first brewed in 1899 in Orizaba, Veracruz, by a German brewmaster at a small brewery called El Salto del Agua. The name means sun in Spanish, and the story goes that the brewer saw a ray of sunshine fall across the stove and named the beer after it.

      Sol joined the Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma portfolio in 1985, when the Moctezuma brewery was brought into the company, alongside Dos Equis. The same company brews Tecate, Carta Blanca and Bohemia. Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma has been part of Heineken since Heineken acquired the beer operations of FEMSA, a deal announced in January 2010.

      It is a pilsner-style pale lager with a light body and a gentle sweetness. This is a pack of twelve 330ml bottles. The classic way to serve it is ice cold, straight from the bottle, with a wedge of lime pushed into the neck.
