      The story of Urbanaut Uptown lager 6x330C

      Urbanaut has been brewing in Kingsland, Auckland, since 2017, and every beer is brewed, kegged and canned at its New North Road site. The same address holds a taproom, and the brewery also runs a burger restaurant, Burgernaut. Uptown is a straight lager in a range better known for hazy and bright IPAs, with Kingsland Pilsner and Miami Lager for company.

      At 4.2% it is a light, easy beer. Urbanaut describes it as crisp and easy drinking, with citrus and tropical fruit aromas and a light, dry finish. The brewery's tagline for it is that it was brewed to get the party started, and it has won a gold medal at the NZ Brewers Guild Awards.

      A lager this light does well with salty, fried food. Burgers are the obvious match given the brewery's own restaurant, but it also suits hot chips with aioli, pork and chive dumplings, or a plain cheese toastie. The beer contains gluten. This pack holds six 330ml cans.
