The story of Steinlager Pure Gold 6x330C
Steinlager Pure Gold is a 4.5% lager from the Lion-owned Steinlager brand, placed in the range between the 5% Classic and the 4.2% Ultra Low Carb. It is a golden beer that pours crystal clear, and two New Zealand ingredients set it apart from the other lagers in the family: manuka honey and kawakawa.
The honey shows up as a light floral note on the nose, with a little herbal spice from the kawakawa, a native herb with a peppery, slightly green character. On the palate there is gentle honey sweetness and earthy tones, very little bitterness, and a brisk, dry finish where the honey florals linger for a moment.
Keep the food gentle so those notes can come through. Fish and chips, a lemon and thyme roast chicken, or a green salad with grilled halloumi all leave the honey and herb room to show. This pack holds six 330ml cans.
