The story goes that sheep and rabbits shared the land, but the sheep could not keep up with the nocturnal rabbits and were driven off. The owner, Mr McGregor, planted vines and tried without success to reduce the rabbit population.
Central Otago Pinot Noir is grown at cool, inland sites close to the 45th parallel, which allows a long, slow ripening period.
This one is made in a soft, fruit forward, low tannin style, a wine to savour rather than rush.
